Ayse Altinok is a Turkish-born artist and filmmaker whose unique work is characterised by emotional narratives and rich visuals. With an art school education and ten years of experience as an art director at Wieden + Kennedy in both Portland and Amsterdam, she brings depth and beauty to projects from short films to music videos to commercials.
Ayse’s first short film, “Hortum” was an official selection at The Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, and also screened at over nine other film festivals around the world. Her second short film, “The Particulars” was also screened at Cannes, and won Best Drama and Best Actor at the Oregon Independent Film Festival. Her recent projects include music video “Katie” for rap artist Beedy; ad campaigns for Boots and Lumene among others; and “A Day At the Mall Reminds Me of America,” a short film created for MotionPoems which was exhibited at both the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Ayse’s irreverent holiday video “Respite” was also a hit, earning rave reviews from both Adweek and The Huffington Post.
