For the fifth year running D&AD instructed Angell Sound to produce the sound design for their 2018 awards idents.
The studio was put in collaboration with the agency HATO, who were charged with the creation of the visual style for the animations, as well as the branding and marketing of the festival.
The audio is a rich tapestry of abstract and ethereal sounds woven into musical pads, which combine to elevate the visually arresting animations. The result is a series of captivating and attention-grabbing idents that were deployed throughout the iconic awards event.
