Spark 44 Create Range Rover Evoque Stunt To Conquer World’s Largest Speed Bump

10 January 2018

Footage of the Range Rover Evoque tackling the world’s largest speed bump on a public road was released late Friday 15th December and had fans and the general public eagerly sharing the clip. The organic campaign has broken over a million views on Facebook and well over four million views on YouTube since going live.

The 1.5m high temporary speed bump provided the Range Rover Evoque with the opportunity to showcase its renowned Land Rover capability in a show-stopping demonstration.

Bemused pedestrians looked on, resilient London joggers ran up and down the obstacle, and BMX riders were happy to ride out the bump. A ‘council official’ canvassed opinion of the new road hump with the flummoxed drivers.

The road hump was in place for one day and although the London road was cordoned off with a detour to an alternative route, a few brave drivers decided (unsuccessfully) to attempt tackling the larger than life speed restriction.

Brian Fraser, Chief Creative Officer at Spark44, the agency which devised the experiential stunt for Jaguar Land Rover, said:

Every driver hates speed bumps. So what better way to demonstrate the capability of our most city-focused vehicle, the Range Rover Evoque, than to pit it against the biggest speed bump anyone has ever seen?”
